The Programme is implemented by the School of Business of the College of Business and Economics at the University of Rwanda in collaboration with four Swedish Universities namely Jönköping International Business School (JIBS), Jönköping University (JU), School of Business and Economics at Umeå University and Karlstad Business School at Karlstad University. The activities proposed in the areas of graduate training, promoting relevant research culture and effective communication of research findings to Rwandan policy makers are based on national, regional and international policies and intended to increase the CBE’s contribution to Rwanda´s socio-economic transformation and sustainable development.

The main prioritised components are; admission of PhD students with course work at the School of Business in the College of Business and Economics, and undertake research in sectors of relevance for Rwanda (Agriculture, Manufacturing and Service sector and within proposed sub-themes) across prioritized areas of entrepreneurship and services management, implement the newly accredited CBE PhD programs with course work in management, organise interdisciplinary research teams (joining hands with other UR units), consolidate achievements from previous collaborations and further develop an emerging CBE research culture (Post Doc positions, Joint proposal writing, Policy uptakes, Publication opportunities etc.,)

In addition, the sub-programme will implement interdisciplinary Master in Contextualized Entrepreneurship, train researchers to communicate research findings to policy makers and organise communication platform to bridge gap between researchers and policy makers.
